The Winner In Me
WOW! As I was listening to the song "The Winner in Me" tears begin to fall from my face. This song truly ministered to me like no other song. Hezekiah Walker song "SOLD OUT" was the kick-off for me to PUSH my praise into action. Now this song “The Winner in Me” allows me to REACH into my DESTINY. Hallelujah!
When my husband up and left and abandon me and his children after 15 years of marriage I was numb. I knew what to do, because I'm a praying woman. But, I could not believe something that I cherished so much was breaking a part. I was served divorced papers 3 days before my 40th birthday. It's been 3 years and I'm still STANDING and holding on to God's unchanging hand!!! Hallelujah!
The divorce was final on April 20, 2009 -- 7 days before my 43rd birthday. It hasn't been easy, but the Lord has been my provider and keeper. Matter fact, God put in my spirit to write three songs. He had to RESCUE ME (another powerful song) and I allowed him to carry me into his presence by Giving Him Thanks! - THANK YOU JESUS!!!
Now, I can truly say that it's "THE WINNER IN ME" that's keeping me from day to day!!!

WHen I first heard this song I sat with my mouth WIDE OPEN. The words were awesome and the way Cheryl delivered the song was nothing short of AMAZING. It immediately became my favorite song on the album. I've played it for folks at work and next thing I knew it was going around in an email, people were crying it was very DEEP. That song will minister to you no matter where you are in Life.
